#GETRECRUITED · TRACK & XC

Track & cross country recruiting — done right.

Track is the most honest sport in college recruiting: your marks are your résumé. But knowing which programs your PRs actually fit, and getting the right coaches to look, still takes strategy. We help sprinters, hurdlers, distance runners, jumpers, throwers, and cross country athletes nationwide find their college fit, from D1 to JUCO.

How It Works

The track & cross country recruiting timeline.

Track and XC recruiting is driven by verified marks, not highlight reels. College coaches search databases by event and time, which means every race, jump, and throw you post is part of your recruiting profile whether you know it or not.

Freshman + sophomore year

Build the base and find your events. Make sure your results are posting cleanly to MileSplit and Athletic.net. Those profiles are how college coaches will find you later. Run cross country if you're a distance athlete: XC and track recruiting feed each other, and many programs recruit both with one scholarship.

Junior year: the marks that matter

Junior season marks drive most recruiting attention. Target invitationals with fast fields and FAT timing, chase qualifying standards, and compete at your state meet. After June 15 going into junior year, D1 coaches can contact you directly. Answer questionnaires, and start targeted outreach to programs where your marks genuinely fit their roster.

Senior year

Cross country and indoor season are your last chances to improve the numbers coaches are evaluating. Official visits and signing windows arrive. Because track is an equivalency sport with limited scholarship money, this is also the season for honest conversations about partial scholarships, walk-on spots, and the D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO programs where your marks can score points on day one.

What We Do for Track & XC Athletes

Built for the track. Built for your athlete.

01

Honest Marks Evaluation

Sprints, hurdles, mid-distance, distance, jumps, throws, multis, XC: every event group recruits on different standards. We compare your PRs against real roster and recruiting standards at each level and tell you honestly where you project: D1, D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO.

02

Meet & Marks Strategy

Which invitationals give you fast fields, FAT timing, and legal wind readings? When do you chase a PR versus race for a win? We build the season calendar that produces the marks college coaches need to see.

03

Profile Optimization

MileSplit, Athletic.net, and your recruiting profiles need to be accurate, complete, and consistent, with academics front and center. We make sure a coach who searches your event finds a profile that reads like a college athlete's.

04

Coach Outreach

Targeted introductions to event-group and head coaches at programs where your marks actually fit, not a mass email blast. We help you write outreach that leads with the numbers coaches care about.

05

Track + XC Dual Planning

For distance athletes, cross country and track are one recruiting conversation. We help you plan both seasons and present yourself to programs that want athletes who can score in the fall and on the oval.

06

Family Guidance

Track scholarships are equivalency-based and often partial, which makes fit, academics, and financial aid strategy matter even more. We walk families through every decision with the steady hand of a social worker.

Ohio Roots, Nationwide Reach

Built in Ohio. Working for athletes everywhere.

EB Sports Recruiting was built in Ohio, a state that sends track and cross country athletes to every level of the college game year after year. That's where we learned how marks-driven recruiting really works: which meets matter, how coaches search the databases, and how kids with the right numbers still get missed because nobody helped them tell their story. Today we put that experience to work for track and XC families nationwide.

Because track is an equivalency-scholarship sport, the recruiting math is different: full rides are rare, rosters are big, and the smartest families think about fit across athletics, academics, and money at the same time. We know the D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO programs where strong-but-not-elite marks translate into real opportunity, and we know how to position an athlete whose best marks are still ahead of them.

Mass-market platforms treat track athletes like entries in a database. We treat them like people with a story, a trajectory, and a family that deserves straight answers. Your marks open the door. We help you walk through it.
